POSITION SUMMARY The Corporate Travel Coordinator position offers opportunities to interact with all resort employees and those outside of the company. It will require a knowledge of booking air travel and lodging, organization, reporting, and cross-training with other departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES Serve as a corporate travel agent in support of Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation's business travel requirements.Fulfill complimentary vacations resulting from promotions, prize giveaways, special events, and partnership marketing agreements, including all facets of complimentary lodging procurement, booking airline tickets, issuing lift tickets, and approving issuance of complimentary airline tickets for prizewinners.Fulfill and track usage of airline travel certificates.Coordinate travel and lodging for hosted special events, negotiating free and reduced-rate lodging with local properties while working within an allocated event budget.Oversee promotional vacation and event travel commitments through corporate services coordinators.Facilitate and track lift ticket barters with local properties and provide end-of-season reporting on all trades.Oversee and manage lodging partnership program relating to trades for special events.Maintain a good working relationship with local property managers.Prepare and update reports as needed.Provide personal travel assistance and information in support of Steamboat Central Reservations.Oversee managed travel of Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation and Alterra Mountain Company for bookings.Develop and maintain processes to document all incoming requests and follow-up.Implement and manage customer acquisition and retention through marketing and exceptional customer service programs.Keep the Inntopia Air Admin up to date and test in all sales channels where air is sold.Assist Assistant Sales Manager with Central Reservations guest airline schedule changes.Assist VIP Concierge Manager with guest bookings and airfare as needed.Assist Fulfillment Manager with printing and mailing of Central Reservations guest vacation packets.Assist contact center during high volume times by taking guest calls, chats, or emails as needed.Assist with Product Maintenance configuration and reporting as needed.Potential to serve as committee member for various events hosted by SSRC.Develop and maintain airline contact database.Build relationships with travel industry suppliers and local company vendors.Compliance with all company policies and procedures.Attend team meetings, as required.This position has the flexibility to work from the Steamboat Administrative building, remotely, or hybrid.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Six months previous Steamboat Central Reservations agent experience, preferred.1 year prior airline or travel agent employment experience, preferred.Must have personal travel experience.Must have knowledge of basic accounting principles with experience in sales and relationship building.Must have previous marketing and/or advertising experience.Prefer knowledge of Inntopia, Avaya, and NICE InContact telephone systems.Computer literacy, Microsoft Office programs, and general office equipment, required.Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, solve problems, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time efficiently.Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or GED required.College degree preferred.The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years of age.Must be able to sit and operate computer keyboards for long periods of time.Must be able to professionally communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.Must be able to lift approximately 30 lbs (brochure boxes).Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
WORKING CONDITIONS Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to harsh and varying outside weather conditions.
