Training Needs Analysis and Material Development
Liaise with Managers and Department Heads:
Determine training needs through discussions and meetings.
Conduct Gap Analysis:
Identify specific training needs for employees through assessments and evaluations.
Prepare Educational Material:
Create modules, summaries, and other educational resources.
Understand Client and Employee Needs:
Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the training requirements and objectives.
Ensure Full Understanding of Training Needs and Topics:
Thoroughly grasp the subject matter and the training requirements.
Align Training Manuals:
Ensure manuals are tailored to the target audience and meet expected standards.
Design and Implement Training Programs:
Develop and execute training programs for both face-to-face and online platforms.
Physical & Online Training
Maintain Training Manuals:
Update manuals to reflect changes and new information.
Conduct Training Sessions:
Lead seminars, workshops, and individual training sessions.
Support and mentor employees.
Plan and schedule internal and external training sessions.
Conduct induction sessions for new employees.
Ensure training sessions use a SETA-acceptable training register.
Book venues for training sessions as needed.
LMS/Systems Management and Reporting
Conduct External Training:
Provide training at franchise locations when necessary, including travel.
Update and Maintain LMS Modules and Portals:
Regularly update LMS content and manage portals for each brand.
Create new user profiles and manage existing ones.
Monitor individual completion of modules and performance.
Modify and adjust courses to be position-specific.
Send login details to new employees.
Ensure employees understand the LMS and training modules.
SETA Compliance
Align Training with SETA Requirements:
Ensure all training programs comply with SETA standards.
Complete WSP and ATR Spreadsheets:
Prepare and submit required documents on SETA MIS.
Liaise with HR:
Gather necessary information for SETA submissions.
Maintain Registers:
Keep all training registers organized and ready for submission.
Explore Learnership/Internship Opportunities:
Check SETA portals for potential opportunities.
Assist INF Stores:
Provide guidance to stores on SETA processes as needed.
Requirements Proven experience as corporate trainer
Proven experience as an SDF
Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching
Proficient in MS Office and a high level of computer literacy; e-learning software is an asset
BSc/BA in business, HR, finance or relevant field
Certification (e.g. CPLP) is a plus SETA Accredited trainer is beneficia l
