We will rely on you to: Manage, mentor, and oversee performance management for a small to medium-sized group, coordinate the workload of team members, and ensure the team is appropriately staffed to meet client needs.Manage staff and be a member of the management team.Utilize significant risk expertise and knowledge of the Property & Casualty industry and carriers to act as a lead negotiator and develop placement solutions that meet client needs.Drive the best deals in the market.Implement the placement strategy, in conjunction with Client Executives and Clients, to achieve growth goals and provide exceptional client service.Develop the go-to-market strategy, articulate the value of the placement function, and participate in the pricing of services as applicable.Facilitate the submission of coverage specifications and obtain quotes from carriers based on the 'assist, advise, and assume' transaction model.Bind coverage and be responsible for the accuracy of placement binders.Create and maintain relationships with practice, insurance markets, clients, carriers, and/or underwriters to provide cohesive client service.Build strong relationships with insurers at senior level.Advise on changing insurance and risk management market conditions and inform client executives, client advisors, and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of products/coverage.Work closely with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production.Support and assist in the development of new products.Manage market relationships working with senior National Practice's market relationship managers. What you need to have: Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in placing large-sized complex risks.Prior experience in staff management.Relevant Tertiary and/or Insurance/Risk Management qualification.Must be FAIS compliant.Fluent in English.
