DescriptionInvestec is seeking an experienced communications writer to join the Group Marketing team.
The role requires a strategic thinker to work with the brand and communications teams to develop and implement internal and external communication strategies.
The individual's responsibilities will include writing for various platforms and ensuring clear, effective messaging across the group.Key Focus Areas Creating written content for a variety of internal and external communications, including but not limited to emails, press releases, opinion pieces, speeches, social media posts, web pages, company profiles and award submissions.Proofreading, editing and ensuring that all content is consistent with Investec's brand tone and messaging.Work with the public relations team in reputational risk scenarios to prepare suitable communications.Monitoring and analysing the performance of communications efforts and making recommendations for improvements.Collaborating with other business areas to gather information and create content that aligns with the organisational strategy.Stay current with industry trends and provide insights back into the broader team.
Experience, skills and capability Minimum five years' experience in public relations, marketing or content production – financial services experience requiredExcellent writing, editing and proofreading skillsHigh attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills for developing relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)Time management skills are essential for managing multiple projects and working under pressureSolid understanding of marketing and communications channels and platforms (PR, social media, SEO etc)Applicants may be required to complete a writing assignment as part of the recruitment process Investec Culture At Investec we look for intelligent, energetic people filled with passion, integrity and curiosity.
