JOB OPPORTUNITYENERGY: ELECTRICITY GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTIONTCOE SALARY: R1 174 257 PER ANNUMREF NO: NRG 26/24Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Performance Areas: - Applies a high level of professional knowledge and experience to develop, implement, refine and ensure compliance with the long and short term objectives of the asset strategy management and resources plan. - Transformer oil handling/recycling & testing. - Transformer refurbishment including track, monitor and report on the condition of all Equipment assigned to the Transformer section. - General Engineering and Plant Services Workshop including monitor and manage all work requests to achieve the goal set out by the Directorate. - Prepare capital and operating estimates and the control expenditure against approved budget allocations. - Project Management such as leads, monitors and controls the professional, technical and operational outcomes associated with the Transformer Workshop environment and related activities for the Infrastructure Facilities Support Services. - Supervises and coordinates the work of more junior staff and other professionals within the Infrastructure Support Services Transformer Workshop environment.Desired Experience & QualificationRequirements: - B Tech or BSC or BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering (from ECSA approved institution). - Professionally Registered as professional Engineer or professional Technologist. - At least 8 years relevant experience within the Electrical Infrastructure Environment, Administration, Root Cause Analysis and Business Process Re-engineering. - Must have a high proficiency in the following computer applications which include Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets with pivot table creation and manipulation; Microsoft Visio and Project and Root cause analysis techniques. - EB Driver License.Package & RemunerationR1 174 257 PER ANNUMInterested?Please apply online at www.capetown.gov.za/careers (external applicants) or via the SAP Portal (internal applicants), unless otherwise stated.
