Galley Manager

Position: Galley Manager Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of the galley, including meal planning, food preparation, and service - Manage a team of galley staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling - Ensure that all meals are prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high quality standards - Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food and supplies as needed - Maintain a clean and organized galley, following all health and safety regulations - Create and manage budgets for the galley department - Collaborate with other departments, such as the onboard chef and purchasing team, to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations - Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for the galley department - Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures - Stay updated on industry trends and make recommendations for menu and service improvements - Handle any guest concerns or complaints related to the galley, and work to resolve them in a timely and professional manner Qualifications: - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the maritime industry - Culinary degree or equivalent experience in food preparation and service - Strong leadership and communication skills - Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed - Valid food handling and safety certifications
