The suitable candidate main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following: Job Summary: The Control Room Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the control room, ensuring the smooth functioning of all systems, and leading a team of control room operators. The role involves managing surveillance, monitoring operational activities, conducting daily vehicle tracking, performing weekly vehicle tracking health checks, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities : Supervision and Leadership: Lead and manage a team of control room operators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure adequate staffing levels in the control room at all times. Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork and collaboration. Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee the monitoring of systems, including CCTV, alarms, and other operational equipment. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of incidents and operational activities. Analyse data from monitoring systems and generate regular reports for senior management. Incident Management: Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, coordinating with relevant departments and external agencies, as necessary. Ensure that all incidents are logged, investigated, and resolved in a timely manner. Develop and implement incident management protocols and procedures. System Maintenance and Upgrades: Ensure that all control room systems and equipment are maintained in good working order. Coordinate with IT and technical teams for regular system upgrades and maintenance. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise in the control room Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Implement and enforce safety procedures within the control room. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving control room operations and implement best practices. Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in control room management. Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing control room efficiency and effectiveness. Preferred Qualifications/Attributes/Skills: Grade A PSIRA registered. Minimum 5 years of experience in a control room environment, with at least 02 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of control room systems, including CCTV, alarms, and other monitoring tools. Experience in incident management and emergency response. Driver's license. EB or B Skills and Competencies: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using control room software and technology. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Working Conditions: May require working in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to respond to emergencies at any time. May require standing or sitting for extended periods.
