Our client, a premier supplier of Industrial Products, PPE, cleaning products and related high quality essentials, seeks to employ a General Manager, with a strong operational and sales/business development background, to join this progressive and expanding professional team.
Please note that this role does require travel to other branches in KZN.
In addition, you must have proven experience in both sales management, as well as operations management, specifically in a wholesale or bulk distribution type of environment, dealing with industrial products, not services.
KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION: You will have a tertiary qualification in Business Management/Commerce or similar, coupled with 8-10 years experience in business development and operations management as outlined in the below requirements You will have a proven track record in business development, achieving profitability by managing budgets, expenses and profit margins, as well as effectively managing and motivating staff in operations, supply chain and sales, across 2-3 branches in the KZN region.
You will have experience in driving digital platform sales, managing internal and external sales targets and ensuring warehouse and supply SOPs are optimally adhered to or honed to improve.
You will have experience in designing and implementing strategic planning for growth of the branches and customer databases, as well as providing management reporting for the EXCO.
