DUR002200 – CONTROL ENGINEER – (MANUFACTURING) – PIETERMARITZBURG Job Purpose: Continuous improvement of the manufacturing process, including throughput, quality, availability and safety.

Required Qualifications: BSc or BEng engineering degree, preferably in electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical engineering. At least 5 years experience in a heavy process manufacturing environment. Required Technical Competencies & Ability: PLC/DCS experience, or experience in other types of real-time controllers. Experience working on advanced control systems. A high degree of computer literacy including experience in the use of development and application tools and statistical process control. Knowledge of and expertise in the maintenance of control systems. System integration between various control systems. Data storage and server management of industrial servers experience. Ability to adapt to various situations in a pressurized environment. An analytical, innovative and hands on work style, and ability to interact with a diverse team. Knowledge of structured programming languages such as C would be advantageous. Behavioural Competencies: Problem solving. Good Communication Skills.
