Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore.
The successful applicant will report to the Contracts Specialist or nominee.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12/Standard 10 Certificate.
Certificate: Buying/Purchasing.
Certificate: Contracts Administration.
Code 08 (B) Driver's Licence.
Advantageous: Supervisory Certificate
EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):
3 years practical Procurement/Buying experience.
1 – 2 years practical Contracts experience in a Mining Environment.
Advantageous: 1-year practical Administration experience.
DUTIES (including but not limited to):
To administer all contracts and tenders as per set standards, policies, and legal requirements. Continuous update of the contract registers and monthly feedback to management/head officer as well capturing contracts on JDE.
Administer, control and update all contracts held with external providers and contractors as and when required. Market research on prices to avoid being overcharged.
Initiate and manage tender process in accordance with tender policy and procedure. Evaluate submitted tender documents considering scope of work and submit approved recommendation to service requestor. Adjudicate tenders and appoint, in consultation with relevant parties, the most suitable provider and conclude the tender process by approved contracts and supporting documentation. Administer tender process in accordance with company policy and legislation.
Liaise with all relevant internal and external stakeholders regarding tenders and contracts. Correspond through letters of intent to award contracts. Submit tender packs to suppliers and capture feedback. Set-up adjudication meetings.
Align Contract standards and policies with the Group to ensure legal compliance.
