Job Description As Contractor Planning Analyst you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Consistently apply Safety and health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for the safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
Advise Request Originators on preparing the Scope of Work (SoW), focusing on planning and scheduling requirements.
Translate the finalised SoW into precise planning and scheduling milestones for Contractor Performance Management (CPM) activities.
Review technical proposals and schedules submitted by bidders to ensure they are achievable within the agreed CPM standards and SoW requirements.
Identify and report any concerns or discrepancies to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the Company Representative (CR) for further action.
Tender Process Support: Provide specialist insights and conduct site visits to assist in the tendering process.
Develop and assess the contract plan in alignment with the Contractor's work plan, available resources, and required SoW to ensure agreement compliance.
Contribute to project effectiveness by identifying risks, defining critical tasks, and tracking performance targets.
Actively participate in kick-off meetings, mobilisation efforts, and the approval of work activities.
Assess schedule changes and provide recommendations for adjustments to the contract plan, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
This role is in the Contractor Performance Management (CPM) at a Band 7 level reporting to the Contractor Management Advisor
Qualifications
Grade 12 Certificate/ N3 Technical
NQF5 Higher National Certificate in Engineering/Technical
Relevant National Diploma NQF6 in Engineering/Technical is preferred
Trade Certificate in an Engineering discipline
SA Drivers Licence
Experience
3-5 years of relevant experience in a mining operational environment.
Understanding of SoW preparation, planning, and scheduling.
Knowledge of CPM frameworks, KPI management, and milestones tracking.
Ability to assess technical feasibility, project timelines, and compliance with SoW.
Familiarity with tender procedures, site visit protocols, and contract compliance.
Expertise in identifying risks, critical path analysis, and recommending corrective measures.
Understanding contract modifications, their impact on schedules, and resource allocation adjustments.
Knowledge of maintaining and managing project-related documentation and changes.
