PE Global are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager for a leading HVAC & Refrigeration company involved with an impressive portfolio of projects across Ireland.The client is a national refrigeration, air conditioning, installation and maintenance company seeking to employ an experienced HVAC Contracts Manager to oversee multiple contracts for our clients.Role DescriptionManaging and supervising Project Managers and Installation Teams to execute the required project scope.Managing and forecasting spend using Excel spreadsheets to ensure that the work is kept to budget.Selecting and managing subcontractors on our projects as required.Analysis of labour resource requirements for multiple projects and placement and control of labour and associated costs.Regular site visits to monitor work progress and ensure the quality of work is to the required standard.Managing projects and delivering against contracted targets.Preparation of monthly applications for payment and costing of variations.Ensuring that Risk Assessments and Method Statements are prepared and monitored.Preparation of work in progress reports for submission to the Directors.Liaising closely with other professionals, including clients, structural engineers, builders, architects, surveyors, and in-house project teams.Attending a range of project group and technical meetings.Working on a variety of projects within a short period of time.Collating certification and preparation of O&M manuals.Evaluating customer needs and responding to them.Handling projects from €100k to €1m.Skills & Qualifications5 years demonstrable Project Management experience (mandatory).Previous experience working as a Mechanical Contracts Manager ideally with a Design and Build Contractor.Ideally hold a relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering.Sound knowledge of Mechanical Services Project Management and a good understanding of the technical, commercial, and contractual processes involved.Good understanding of HVAC systems, particularly VRV/VRF systems and chillers.A team player with a high level of self-motivation and organisational ability.Strong leadership skills.Analytical and methodical in approach to problem solving.People management and staff supervision skills.Competent in the use of computers and data handling, including Microsoft Office systems.Experience in industry-specific software for load estimating, duct estimating, and CAD.Understands complex technical air-conditioning concepts.Possesses demonstrated work experience with more than one recognised brand of air-conditioning system.Red Seal (HVAC Refrigeration Technician/Mechanic) Trade Certificate (desirable).Valid Driver's licence (compulsory).Have worked in high-profile high safety environments such as Data Centres and Bio Pharma sites.
