What you'll be doing:
Leads, guides, facilitates and manages all continuous improvement activities in the organization. Facilitates continuous improvement workshops and provides ongoing guidance on CI strategy and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery: Drive strong standards and provide the required support to ensure consistent and effective delivery on projects. This includes Project Management Standards, Process Improvement Standards and Root Cause Problem Solving Standards. Also formally track and report on project benefits delivered.
Manage Finances: Create budget and manage spend to budget. Ensure that the cost allocation per project is well understood and agreed to by the project sponsors.
Accountable for ensuring all identified opportunities are fully exploited - RFQ/RFI, continuous improvement, footprint studies, service improvement, optimization etc.
Increase productivity within Operations by leading usage of the appropriate lean tools, six sigma methodology, etc. (e.g. value stream mapping, 5S, Kanban) to eliminate losses such as delay, duplication, unnecessary movement, unclear communication, incorrect inventory, and product defects.
Coach the operational teams in continuous improvement techniques and help them cascade this approach to their teams to develop a proactive continuous improvement culture.
Create a culture of safety and service from the ground up and ensure compliance to the workplace safety standards, policies, and procedures at all times.
Experience & Skills Required:
5+ years of related work experience in logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
The incumbent would possess a very good understanding of CI methodology, tools and techniques, e.g. LEAN, SIX SIGMA, KAIZEN & TOC, and their application.
Demonstrate a strong track record of problem solving and solid analytical skill to find the root cause and implement the necessary countermeasures.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics.
