Description of the roleThe Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the overall marketing and business objectives.
They will create and manage a content calendar, produce multimedia content, implement SEO best practices, collaborate with team members, build partnerships, and evaluate content performance.
The candidate will be expected to continuously improve content strategies and outputs based on stakeholder feedback and performance data.Responsibilities :Strategic Planning and ExecutionDevelop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with overall marketing and business objectives.Translate strategic objectives into actionable content plans and ensure their successful implementation.Create and manage a content calendar, setting up workflows and timelines to meet deadlines and achieve goals.Track and manage the content budget effectively, delivering projects within financial constraints.Provide strategic input to the marketing team, contributing to the broader marketing strategy.Stay informed about industry trends and innovations to keep the content strategy relevant and effective.Content Creation and ManagementProduce and publish thought leadership content following a bi-weekly publishing framework.Create segment-nuanced videos and content pieces for internal and external use.Develop short and creative videos and content snippets to promote content on social media.Suggest and implement new digital tools to optimize team efficiency and capacity.Ensure all content is created for specific platforms (social media, website, newsletters) to maximize reach and engagement.Maintain a consistent brand voice and style across all content formats.Experience with podcast production and publishing.Video editing and production skills.Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.SEO and AnalyticsFamiliarity with implementing SEO best practices in all content pieces to enhance visibility and search rankings.Create comprehensive briefs into the agency for regular keyword research and adjust content strategies accordingly.Generate monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports on content performance metrics.Use insights from reports to refine and improve content strategies.Team Collaboration and Knowledge SharingWork closely with team members to foster collaboration and synergy.Facilitate regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions to generate new content ideas.Lead sessions and presentations to share learnings and insights with the team.Encourage continuous education and upskilling around the importance of content, trends and new innovation within the team.Building Partnerships and OpportunitiesIdentify and establish partnerships with subject matter experts, industry thought leaders, and other relevant entities to enhance content reach and credibility.Explore and capitalize on new opportunities for content distribution and audience engagement.Leverage authoring capabilities to contribute thought leadership pieces to industry publications.Collaborate with different business units (BUs) to align content efforts with their goals and initiatives.Coordinate with the Group content team to leverage knowledge, tools, and skills.Dotcom Authoring and ReviewSupport dotcom authoring workflow and review pages to ensure adherence to UX/UI and Focus platform best practices.Ensure content SEO recommendations are followed to achieve search objectives.Personal Measurement and EvaluationConduct quarterly reviews of all KPIs to measure progress and adjust strategies as necessary.Track key metrics such as content engagement rates, SEO performance, audience growth, and conversion rates.Use feedback from stakeholders and performance data to continuously improve content strategies and outputs.Description of the skill and experience requiredProven experience in content marketing, preferably in a senior position.Experience with podcast production and publishing.Video editing and production skills.Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in multimedia content creation and management.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Up-to-date with industry trends and innovations.Experience in building partnerships and leveraging opportunities.Investec CultureAt Investec we look for dynamic, energetic people filled with tenacity, integrity and out of the ordinary thinking.
