Construction Manager/Project Manager

Hire Resolve is looking for an experienced Construction Manager/Project Manager for a well-regarded Arts and Heritage company in Johannesburg. The role involves overseeing the design and renovation of a building's interior from start to finish.In this position, you'll coordinate with architects, engineers, curators, and contractors, ensuring the project stays on budget and on schedule.This is a 12-month contract role with a hybrid work arrangement, including office meetings (in Johannesburg) and site visits (in Pretoria).ResponsibilitiesPlan and Schedule: Create and manage project timelines to keep everything on track.Manage Budget: Track expenses and ensure the project stays within budget.Coordinate: Work with architects, engineers, curators, and contractors to meet project goals.Ensure Quality: Check that work meets quality standards and specifications.Visit Site: Regularly visit the site to monitor progress and resolve any issues.Keep Records: Maintain project documents and keep everything organized.Solve Problems: Address any problems or conflicts that come up during the project.Report: Update stakeholders on project progress, budget, and any potential issues.RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of experience in construction managementExperience with libraries, museums, or similar institutions would be a plus.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulationsExcellent leadership and project management skillsAbility to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levelsProficiency in construction management softwareValid driver's license and own transportationBenefitsSalary: NegotiableContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
