Details of the offer

To sell, contract, plan, co-ordinate and organize events at Brahman Hills that include conferences, celebrations, tastings, and other collective groups of people that are sourced from the corporate, government, travel and leisure segments.Key ResponsibilitiesTo sell Brahman Hills as the only destination of choice.This process is defined and measured by contracting, payment, delivery and guest feedback as well as return business.Respond timeously to enquiries and quotes, as well as managing all correspondence of confirmed events.Ensure all event outstanding invoices are settled no later than 7 days after the event.Ensure that all confirmed event files are kept up to date with the recent correspondence printed and filed.Prepare detailed and accurate function sheets and send out to all departments within two week lead period to the event.Personal charm to greet and meet with a range of guests, organisers, hosts and VIPs and the ability to make them feel they are your only priority.To communicate with Heads of Departments during the eventing cycle and deliver exactly what the guests want with a can-do attitude.Ensure F & B department, that executes all events, has full set up brief of requirements. Liaise with F & B & Banqueting Managers with regards to set up and check that it is to requirements once complete.Monthly stocktake of all conference stationery and equipment and ensuring all equipment are safely returned and stored after an event.Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail.To motivate colleagues at all levels of seniority around you.To ensure that the brand standards are applied at all times and addressed when not applied.To ensure that health and safety rules are applied and addressed when not applied.To ensure security of assets at all times.To ensure to the housekeeping of the Events areas as well as the general hotel and grounds.To be involved in the various events understanding that this involves long hours including over weekends and public holidays.Entry RequirementsSales abilityThe ability to listen, interpret and feedbackAbility to multitask – execute various tasks simultaneously, and wellOrganisationStrong administrationAttention to DetailWork well independently and within a teamProactiveQualificationsA further education in the hotel industry with an additional qualification an advantage.A minimum of 3 years' experience in the eventing area, with specific conference and/or wedding expertise.A matric qualification.Good verbal and written ability in English language. A second language is a benefit.Experience in Opera hotel operating system and Microsoft Word and Excel.Key PrioritiesTo increase conference & event bookings.To ensure events details are checked and well communicated to other teams.To ensure success of all events for clients and building relationships leading to return business.To ensure all event venues are turned around promptly and are always in showcase condition.To maintain a high standard of personal presentation, punctuality and people engagement.On-site accommodation available.Job Type: Full-timePay: R15000,00 - R18000,00 per monthApplication Question(s):What is your proficiency level in Opera?Application Deadline: 2024/08/20
