Communication And Marketing Specialist

The Manager: Market Development and Communication will be responsible for the development and implementation of SATI's Market Development, Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Strategy by developing and executing programmes across all mediums that effectively convey SATI's strategy to table grape growers, external stakeholders and employees to position SA as a preferred supplier to global markets.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Managing and coordinating market development projectsMarketing and trade initiatives (coordinating and liaising with a broad range of initiatives, including trade shows/fares, congresses and exhibitions)International generic market development for SATI membersLeading the development and implementation of a commercialisation strategy for SATI's communications platformsPlanning, coordinating and hosting events, functions and public relations initiativesClient relationship management and stakeholder engagements (including all relevant government departments, SATI entities and affiliates, commercial role players, media, markets, etc.)Planning and executing the delivery of strategic SATI events, including the AGM and annual industry stakeholder roadshowDeveloping, implementing and maintaining the media and communication strategy for the table grape industryManaging the overall communication function including newsletters, digital marketing and social media, pamphlets, annual reports, promotion & marketing material, etc.Brand management and visibilityBudget management and reportingRequirements:Relevant tertiary qualificationMore than 5 years' experience in market development, strategic branding and media communicationsPrevious experience in providing direction to CEO / Senior Management on media issues, reputation management, social responsibility and sustainability complianceWillingness and ability to travel locally and internationally on a regular basisProven project and events management experienceExcellent relationship management skillsAbove average writing skillsBilingual with professional command of both English & AfrikaansKnowledge of the table grape industry will be considered advantageousCandidates from designated groups as stipulated in the Employment Equity Act will receive preference
