The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) is a regulatory body established in terms of Section 2 of Act No. 44 of 2000. SACAP regulates the architectural profession by setting standards for architecture education, training, registration, and ethical and professional conduct.
Position: Committee Coordinator The candidate will be responsible for the following:
Plan and manage the Annual Programmes and venues for Committee meetings.Compile draft Agenda and submit to the respective Manager, Registrar, and Committee Chairperson for approval.Prepare Committee meeting packs and submit to the Manager Secretariat and the Registrar for review and/or approval.Ensure distribution of meeting packs to all Committee members.Handle travel and accommodation for Committee members.Ensure provision of refreshments for Council events.Prepare and maintain attendance register, declaration of interest registers, and confidentiality agreement of all meetings.Record all Committee meetings and compile minutes.Raise matters in relation to adherence with internal policies and procedures.Provide information on the activities of committees for the production of the council's quarterly and annual reports.Maintain records of minutes and resolution of all decisions by Committees.Compile expense submissions for Committee members' remuneration, all their claims, and travel costs for attendance of meetings.Submit expense submissions to the Manager Secretariat for verification and payment.Requirements Minimum of 5 years in a Legal Secretariat or Secretary role.Business Writing skills.Effective minute-taking skills.Governance & Compliance skills.Business Communication Skills.In this position, you will be reporting to the Manager Secretariat.
