Commercial/Technical Project Manager (Johannesburg/Pietermaritzburg/Umhlanga/George/Cape Town)Responsibilities: Identify and analyse client needs and contribute to the preparation of the proposal document, which clearly defines project objectives, the associated scope and the deliverables.Identify and analyse required resource planning, risks and costs to ensure the project meets or exceeds client expectations and achieves the best profit for RHDHV.Develop and finalise project plans, understand contractual terms, confirm budgets and required resources, clarify roles and obtain necessary approvals for effective project execution.Direct project activities, manage risks, issues, changes, and resources (including subcontracts where applicable).Monitor and control project performance against the project plan, focusing on commercial, cost, and forecasting aspects.Identify risk mitigation activities and adjust the project plan to ensure project objectives are achieved, including optimal financial results.Communicate project progress to stakeholders through periodic and ad hoc reports and analyses, enabling timely decision-making.Handover final project deliverables to the client, finalise outstanding commercial matters, and confirm client satisfaction.Evaluate project performance against the plan and identify lessons learned for continuous improvement.Negotiate contracts and services with internal and external parties to achieve the best quality and price.Build and maintain a sustainable network of stakeholders and partners to contribute to project success.Participate in the selection of the project team.Optimize project team motivation and performance, resolving issues and encouraging communication.Participate with line management in appraising and developing project team members.Support the management team with business development and key account management initiatives to achieve sales targets.Promote diversity and inclusion within the AG.Digital Competencies: Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) and other digital tools in construction.Understanding of how digital technologies can improve project performance.Ability to manage project information using digital tools.Knowledge of data management and analysis.Understanding of digital security and protecting project information.Ability to lead and manage digital transformation projects.Adeptness in virtual collaboration and managing remote teams.Responsibilities when implementing ISO 19650 include utilizing a Building Information Modelling Execution Planning (BEP), a Model Information Delivery Plan (MIDP), a Team Information Delivery Plan (TIDP), and a Common Data Environment (CDE).Minimum/Preferred Required Qualifications: BEng, BSc or BTech EngineeringRegistered with ECSA as Professional Engineer (Pr Eng)/Technologist (Pr Tech Eng)PM-certification (IPMA, PMI or APM or similar) preferredRegistered with SACPCMP as Pr CPM / Pr CM10 to 15 years of experience in Project ManagementISO19650 training certificate will be advantageousBasic coding or low-code experience would be advantageousMinimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills: Extensive knowledge of managing multi-disciplinary projects, complex in nature and of duration >12 months;Municipal and/or consulting engineering work experience advantageous.Contract Management and Administration experience.Intensive knowledge of Business Development experience.
