Commercial Marketer / Trader

The successful candidate will have the exciting opportunity of developing a trading desk and be responsible for managing retail programs in upcoming markets.
Duties and responsibilities will include: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in strategic marketsCollaborate with marketing and technical teams to ensure effective product positioningPro-active driving and negotiating to ensure optimum results w.r.t price, sales and service deliveryDevelop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve defined objectivesBuild and manage relationships with producers, service providers, receivers and colleaguesDiligent management of information and relevant administrationRequirements: An appropriate tertiary qualificationPrevious relevant experience (selling of fresh fruit)Knowledge and insight w.r.t. the fruit industry and networksA confident, energetic, and dynamic personalityExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with people (groups and individuals) on all levelsGood negotiation skillsHigh levels of emotional intelligenceGood problem-solving and decision-making skillsAdaptability and ability to manage changeVery good language skills (English and Afrikaans)
