IntroductionA manufacturing company located in Pretoria East is seeking a CNC Operator with at least one to two years' experience in the manufacturing environment to join their team.Job PurposeThe Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) operator is responsible for the operating of CNC machines. They are responsible for loading and unloading of the CNC machine, monitoring the manufacturing process, and timeously reporting to the CNC programmer/setter should adjustments be required. The CNC operator is responsible to monitor the CNC machine during the production process and to carry out quality inspections of the products. The operator is also required to do basic and routine maintenance of the machines as needed.Minimum Education (essential)Grade 10 CertificateMinimum Education (desirable)Relevant course in milling or lathe machine operatingMinimum Applicable Experience (years)1+ years working in a manufacturing environmentRequired Nature Of ExperienceOperating of CNC machines.Skills And Knowledge RequiredBasic understanding of Fanuc and/or Siemens CNC ControlsOtherPhysically fit, being able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.English (Essential)Strong attention to detail.Willingness to take ownership of their work.Ability to follow instructions and to work to strict deadlines, while always being aware of their contribution to the team and company at large.Key Performance AreasManufacturing of parts as instructed by the CNC Programmer/Setter.Operating the CNC machines.Maintenance work of machines to ensure optimal functioning.Conduct machine, tool and product quality checks.Complete work orders for recording keeping purposes.Keep work area neat and clean.Train staff on machines and company operating procedures.RemunerationMarket-related salary
