Automotive Electrician

Duties: Evaluate/check vehicle for general defects before doing any repairsWrite technical report on scope to repairs required to repair vehicleList spare parts required to repair vehicleStrip components of vehiclesClean and assess parts for ware and damagesSign for spare parts received as requestedAssemble stripped down components with new or used partsIdentify systems on components failure, discuss with Workshop Foreman and record findings on the job cardList all tasks performed on the vehicle on the job card, the spares used, and the time taken to complete each taskService and repairs vehicle to OE specifications and schedulesPerform standby/breakdown after hour dutyMaintain acceptable productivity and efficiency levelsReport unsafe working conditions/equipment to Team Leaders/Workshop ForemanAssist in relevant operations/operational functions as requiredMaintain housekeeping standards on a daily basisEnsure standards of Health and Safety are maintained Requirements: Grade 12Trade tested Automotive ElectricianValid Code C (10) or EC (14) drivers licenseMinimum of 3 years post trade test experience
