Job Advert Summary
We are looking for a highly passionate, driven and self-motivated candidate who has a passion for the cleaning industry. Candidates must have more than 5 years' experience in the cleaning industry and a minimum of 2 years' experience supervising a team to be considered.
Your duties will include supervision of a cleaning team of ten cleaners, ensuring that the facilities of this 130-year-old public school are clean and usable as per the planned cleaning schedule. As the team leader, you will conduct performance reviews, manage leave requests, prepare cleaning schedules and plan & supervise set-up, serving, cleaning & breakdowns for school and external events.
The ideal candidate will be expected to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. They must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate must be:
Energetic and friendly while able to provide impeccable customer service.
A confident communicator who can remain calm under pressure.
Self-motivated and efficient in time management.
Able to work both within a team and independently.
Flexible and able to respond to the needs of a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
Be computer literate and able to work with email, word documents and spreadsheets.
Willing to act as a co-Tutor as part of the school's Vertical Tutoring System.
Prior work experience in a school would be an added advantage.
Certification:
South African citizen or in possession of a valid visa to live and work in South Africa (essential).
Be in possession of a police clearance certificate or similar security clearance, or be willing to undergo such clearance checks (essential).
Experience working at heights would be an advantage.
A Driver's licence would be an advantage.
Language:
Fluent in both written and verbal English to a high standard (Required).
isiXhosa and/or Afrikaans fluency would be an advantage.
