Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will be based at their CPT offices (Tygervalley-area).
Minimum knowledge & experience required to perform this job competently:
Education & Experience:
B degree or similar will be advantageous, combined with at least 5 years related work experience, ideally in fruit/ FMGG/maritime environment.
Key Performance Areas (KPA's):
KPA's will include (but are not limited to) the following essential outcomes:
Liaison between internal departments, i.e., Quality, Finance, Product, Marketing and Supply Chain
Liaison externally with insurance brokers and third-party Key Persons, i.e. shipping lines and other service providers
Compiling internal policy guidelines and communication thereof to relevant parties (Guideline/Manual on end-to-end claim process)
Restructuring internal workflows of department, incl. setting of targets and benchmark service delivery outcomes
Investigating deviations and actual incidents, manage "building" of claim pack and record gathering process
Staying up to date with marine & risk insurance industry trends, networking, attending relevant workshops and events, ensuring the company stays abreast of industry movements
Appointment of survey companies per region vs global strategy, benchmarking survey company costs, strengths to determine appointment thereof
Evaluate and interpret survey reports received along with different internal departments
Claim status reporting – various
Manage the entire Marine Insurance and third-party claim process.
Supply Chain Compliance – ensure all contracts with service providers are updated and maintained
