Job Title: Civil Engineer - SS & TL (Substation and Transmission Line)Location: Groblershoop - Northern CapeSalary: R35 000 - R45 000 - Depending on Qualifications and Experience Benefits: On- site accommodation, and transport will be providedClosing date: End Sept 2024 Duties and responsibilities:- Design and develop civil engineering plans and specifications for substations and transmission lines- Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project sites and ensure compliance with design requirements- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, to ensure integrated project delivery- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality control measures- Oversee construction activities, including site supervision and quality assurance- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and documentationNon- negotiable qualifications and experience required:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field- 6 - 8 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on substation and transmission line projects- Experience in designing and developing civil engineering plans for solar plant projects is a plus.- Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and quality control measures- Excellent technical, project management, and communication skills- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team- Proficiency in relevant software tools, including CAD, GIS, and project management softwareBy submitting your information and application you hereby confirm:1.
