KEY RESPONSIBILITESResponsible for preparing the recipes in accordance with the chocolate shop specificationsPrepare chocolate products as specified by the Maitre Chocolatier ensuring food safety and high qualityCheck cleanliness of Chocolate shop before each shift startsProduction of a range of chocolate decorationsCheck temperature and condition of materials and refrigeratorsCollect daily from the F&B Store all supplies required for immediate operationsCorrect handling of allergens for guest with specific dietary requirementsPerforms overall quality control of all chocolate shop itemsFollows all food safety protocols in the pastry department in compliance with MSC Food safety standardsEnsures that food is properly stored, sets up the workstations and keeps it clean at all timesPrepare the daily mise en place and food productionMinimize food spoilageComply with international HACCPQUALIFICATIONS Minimum requirements-High school graduatePreferred – Completed Technical education in Hospitality or Culinary School specializing in chocolate Certified in Food Safety/HACCPDemonstrated understanding and practical knowledge of Food SafetyProven ability to work in a harmonious productive team environment1 Years work experience in a hotel establishment or cruise line in a similar position DOCUMENTS REQUIREDValid South African PassportPolice Clearance
