Chief Safety Officer Job DescriptionHire Resolve's client is seeking a Chief Safety Officer to lead their mining operation in Limpopo. As the Chief Safety Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and promoting a culture of safety excellence throughout the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement safety policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Provide strategic guidance and leadership in all matters related to safety and health.Oversee safety training programs and ensure employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties safely.Monitor and analyze safety performance indicators to identify trends and areas for improvement.Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.Investigate incidents and accidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence.Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate them into the organization's safety programs.Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.RequirementsGrade 12Degree in Safety ManagementSAMTRAC/COMSOC 1&27 years' experience as a Safety Officer/Chief Safety Officer in the mining industry.Experience in investigations, inspections, and reportingValid Drivers' LicenseWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experiencePaid Time Off (PTO) (If Applicable)
