Chief Safety Officer

RPO Recruitment is partnered with a well-established mining company in Limpopo (LP) and is currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Chief Safety Officer to join their team. As the Chief Safety Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety measures at various mine sites.Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and proceduresCarry out regular safety inspections and auditsProvide guidance and support to site safety teamsEnsure compliance with all relevant mining safety regulationsInvestigate incidents and accidents and propose corrective actionsConduct safety training programs and awareness campaignsMonitor and report on safety performance and trendsRequirements:Degree in Safety Management or related field.NOSA, SAMTRAC, COMSOC 1,2 & 3 Diploma or Degree in Risk Management will be advantageousMinimum 7 years' experience as Safety Officer/Chief Safety Officer in a Mining EnvironmentExperience in investigations, inspections, and reportingStrong knowledge of mining safety legislation and regulationsProven track record in implementing and maintaining safety programsExcellent leadership and communication skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesBenefits:Salary: NegotiableFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable)Apply for this role today, contact Anzaan Kennedy (021180 0776) at RPO Recruitment or on LinkedIn.
