A premium communication and surveillance solutions equipment supplier company based in Centurion requires the above to be responsible for overseeing all commercial activities, from pricing strategies and sales management to partnerships with key suppliers and engagement with major customers.Minimum Requirements For The RoleA bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field is essential for this role (A Master's degree is preferred).Previous (5) experience working in a senior commercial or operational role, with a proven track record in building and scaling startups or medium-sized businesses.The role requires a highly experienced professional with a proven track record in scaling startups or medium-sized businesses, focusing on driving revenue growth and commercial success.Must have a strong understanding of pricing strategies, sales management, and partnership development.The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop and execute commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and business success.Must have excellent leadership and team management skills with experience leading sales and commercial teams.Must have outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence major customers and stakeholders.Previous experience in contract management and supplier negotiations.Must be proficient in CRM systems, sales management tools, and financial software.The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible ForOverseeing all commercial activities, from pricing strategies and sales management to partnerships with key suppliers and engagement with major customers.Developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive revenue growth, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives.Leading the commercial side of the business, including pricing, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies.Identifying new business opportunities, market trends, and growth areas to expand market share.Overseeing the sales team, providing guidance and leadership to achieve sales targets and drive overall performance.Establishing sales processes, metrics, and KPIs to monitor and optimise the effectiveness of the sales team.Driving a customer-centric sales culture that delivers exceptional client experiences while maximising revenue.Building and maintaining strong partnerships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating terms that benefit the company.Developing long-term supplier relationships to support the company's operational and commercial needs.Ensuring alignment between supplier capabilities and the company's strategic goals.Engaging directly with key customers, building strong relationships to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.Serving as the point of contact for major clients, working to secure and maintain long-term partnerships.Ensuring customer feedback is used to improve product offerings and service delivery.Developing and overseeing pricing strategies that optimise profitability while remaining competitive in the market.Continuously analysing market trends, customer behaviours, and competitor activity to inform pricing decisions.Monitoring product margins and commercial performance, ensuring the company remains financially sound.Providing leadership across all operational aspects of the business, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.Working closely with the CEO and other executives to implement processes and systems that drive operational excellence.Leading cross-functional teams to ensure that commercial strategies are implemented effectively across the organisation.Mentoring and developing commercial and sales teams, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.Establishing clear performance goals and KPIs for team members, holding them accountable for results.Identifying and implementing training and development initiatives to upskill staff and ensure continuous improvement.Overseeing contract negotiations with key clients and suppliers, ensuring favourable terms for the company.Managing budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring that commercial activities are aligned with financial targets.Monitoring the company's financial health, providing insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.Desired SkillsExecutive Leadership TeamCOOChief Operating Officer
