Chief Financial Officer - Construction Equipment Hiring Industry R1,500,000.00 - R1,800,000.00 P/AThe CFO will be responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing the financial functions for the Company and its 9 branches. This includes financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision making.Manage all accounting operations and ensure compliance.Prepare monthly management accounts and reports promptly.Coordinate regulatory reporting and tax filings.Oversee month-end and year-end processes.Analyse key metrics in the business – utilisation, productivity etc.Lead tax planning efforts and maintain financial controls.Forecast and manage cash flow, borrowing needs, and investments.Ensure funds meet operational and investment requirements.Mitigate financial risks through planning and actions.Negotiate finance terms with banks and institutions.Maintain banking relationships and manage capital structure.Coordinate budget and financial forecast preparation.Manage company budget creation.Develop annual budgets with functional heads.Report budget variances to management.Assist in strategic direction formulation.Produce financial reports on income, expenditure, and revenue.Provide financial reports to team members and the Board.Generate annual financial reports for departments and comply with legal requirements.Conduct ongoing cost reduction analyses company-wide.Review competitor performance and report findings to management.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fieldMust have been a CFO for 5 – 8 yearsMust have experience in the Construction/Construction Equipment Hiring IndustryMust have experience in changing and implementing new financial systems for the businessFinancial Planning and Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting skillsFinancial Reporting and Accounting skillsLeadership, Management, and Strategic Decision Making skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a team setting
