Are you someone who can help us achieve the following: Lending Strategy & Risk Management: Align lending strategy with R&C segment and FirstRand risk appetite framework. Monitor performance on portfolio and ensure remedial actions are implemented as needed. Develop data assets for insights into lending markets and risk metrics and proactive risk control. Test hypotheses to improve sales, profit, collection and lending objectives and insights. Design bespoke lending strategies across the various sub-portfolios within Retail Loans (FNB Loans, FNB Revolving Facility, Open Market Personal Loans). Financial Performance: Ensure balance sheet growth as per financial performance reports. Reduce bad debts through effective lending principles. Develop and implement credit service models for different segments. Define and execute a credit portfolio growth strategy. Revenue & Risk Management: Optimize revenue generation with sustainable risk-reward returns. Authorize high-risk, high-profit credit applications. Improve credit, pricing and property valuations decisions using automated and judgmental underwriting. Manage financial risks and adjust financial planning as needed. Revenue Growth & Financial Planning: Monitor and target revenue growth. Analyze and implement plans against financial forecasts. Create and interpret budget variance reports. Relationship & Customer Management: Build and manage relationships for knowledge sharing and buy-in across various operational areas. Engage in cross-functional relationships for work support and product and solution development. Ensure customer-centric business operations and service solutions. Enhance service experience with best practices and efficiency models. Workflow and Systems: Ensure credit, pricing, collections, property and capital and impairment workflows are efficient, on platform and remain relevant to manage customer experience and risk management. Ensure appropriate controls around Audit, Legal Risk and Compliance and Bureau utilisation. You will be an ideal candidate if you can master the following: Customer Experience & Knowledge: Monitor and evaluate customer touch points. Maintain expert knowledge of legislative amendments and industry best practices. Stay updated on local and global trends in the disciplines of risk and data and analytics. Provide thought leadership and expertise. Governance & Risk Management: Implement corporate governance, compliance, integrity, and ethics policies. Stay abreast of industry risk management best practices and legislative amendments. Create risk awareness and manage audit findings. Participate in risk forums and cascade relevant information. Business Information & Strategy: Ensure integrated reporting of business information. Analyze information to identify trends and inconsistencies. Use insights from business reports to measure success and realign strategies. Define and adjust lending strategies to align with market segments and client strategy. Credit & Lending: Accountable for all models used in credit space. Integrate a credit decision service model for customer segments including Open Market Personal Loans. Provide tailored credit solutions while adhering to risk metrics. Balance policies and mandates between segment needs and risk metrics. Team & Talent Management: Create an environment for cross-functional skills transfer. Share constructive feedback to motivate growth. Manage performance, disciplinary actions, recognition, and retention. Build team succession plans and influence resource planning. Implement talent management practices and ensure employment equity targets are met. You can be a match if you: Have a BCom or BSc in Mathematics or Actuarial Science or Finance. A minimum of 6 - 8 years' relevant experience at a senior role level within Credit Risk. All appointments will be made in line with FirstRand Group's Employment Equity plan.
