Chemical Engineer

Job Title: Chemical Engineer Location: Limpopo, Waterberg District, Lephalale Job Type: 6 month Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Job Duties: Designing and implementing chemical processes Conducting research to develop new chemical products Overseeing the operation of chemical processes Evaluating equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to develop solutions to chemical-related problems Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field Professional Engineering with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical engineering, particularly in the following areas: Design and optimization of chemical processes related to Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) or similar environmental compliance systems. Experience in process design, wastewater treatment systems, chemical reaction engineering, and chemical handling and storage. Proven track record in process safety management and conducting hazard and operability studies (HAZOP). Experience in leading the design, implementation, and commissioning of chemical systems for power generation or industrial facilities. Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of chemical processes and principles Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Excellent analytical and technical skills Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations Excellent communication and teamwork skills
