Amisfield Restaurant & Cellar at Lake Hayes in Queenstown, is seeking a Cellar Door Host to join their successful team.
Amisfield, spanning 92 hectares, is the largest single-vineyard estate in the region. We take pride in how our restaurant beautifully highlights the depth and variety of Amisfield wines across numerous vintages.

Our wines are showcased in our Cellar Door and Restaurant located at Lake Hayes, Queenstown, within an iconic stone schist building where guests sample our range of wines throughout the year. Our Restaurant was recently awarded Cuisine Magazine's Restaurant of the Year 2021/2022 making Amisfield the perfect choice for unrivalled wine and food experiences.
This role is a dynamic position offering great wine industry experience, as you will be provided with extensive wine and sales training. As part of our Cellar Door team, you will work alongside our Sales Manager to achieve sales targets for a variety of markets and provide a fantastic wine tasting experience to our customers. Our winemaking, viticulture and food teams will openly share their knowledge, support and passion for wine and food with all of our team.
We are looking for that special someone who ideally has some of the following: Most importantly, has a great team-player approach with a hunger to learn and a passion for all things wineCan demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and interact with a high volume of customersCan perform a variety of functions related to wine sales, stock control and shipping around the globeIdeally has some experience in retail and/or hospitalityExperience using a CRM, a WSET qualification or a Duty Managers certificate would all be beneficial.We offer our team full-time hours (30+ hrs per week) and a great wage plus the chance to earn commission.
