Employer DescriptionOur client is a medium sized national consulting engineering firm specializing in civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering services, and project management and environmental consultingJob DescriptionYou will be responsible for the following in the main:Planning, design and contract administration of engineering and building projects from inception to completion.Preparing engineering calculations and technical specifications.Design of bulk water, wastewater treatment works, stormwater management and water retaining structures .Design of bridges and major culverts will be an advantageProviding input to engineering, operating and capital cost estimates and preparation of tender documentsPreparation of reports (Project Inception, Concept and Viability, Design, tender evaluation, progress, financial, close-out, etc).Handling technical queries and resolutions and leading Site and Technical Meetings on site, including the taking of minutes.Assisting with project safety and environmental matters during construction.QualificationsBSc / BTech degree in Civil Engineering preferably structural engineering or relatedPrEng / PrTechEng OR CandidateSkills5+ years postgraduate experience as contained in the job descriptionSound understanding of design engineering codes and technical standards.Proficient in the use of Master Series or Prokon, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Office ProjectExperience in the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) software, in particular ACC Docs and ACC Build and Revit, will be an advantageBenefitsInclusive.
