The Opportunity The Environmental Implementation team at the Otago Regional Council is on the lookout for a Catchment Advisor to join them on a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) basis in either the busy Wanaka, Queenstown, or Cromwell area.
The purpose of the role is to implement 'on the ground' initiatives and approaches to support engagement, solutions, and progress to achieving better environmental catchment outcomes.
As a Catchment Advisor, you will be responsible for:
Supporting individuals and communities to proactively resolve contentious issues and environmental concernsAssisting with the delivery of Council's environmentally focused projects and plansMonitoring and reporting on the outcomes of catchment programmesDeveloping and delivering campaigns, tools, and services to support education initiativesIf you are interested in a varied role working proactively in our communities to improve engagement and environmental outcomes, then this is the role for you!
About You Our ideal candidate will have:
