Cape Town City Centre: Junior Sales ExecutiveKEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:
You will have completed a degree in Marketing or Business Management, coupled with a desire to pursue a career in sales and key account management. You will be strategic, "work smart" and have a keen eye to spot new business opportunities, as well as having a finger on the pulse of new technology. You will understand the monitoring of competitor trends and be solutions driven to meet customer demand. You will be able to build your own customer base through cold calling and innovative/creative business identification. You will have a professional approach to customers, problem solve effectively, and focus on building/maintaining exceptional working relationships. You will be able to manage your own call cycles, attain targets, and ensure consistent revenue generation through service. You must have a valid driver's license, own car, and a clear criminal and credit record.
Responsibilities:
1. Promotion of sales, conversions, and rentals of our products to meet budget expectations.
2. Preparation and submission of quotations to existing and prospective clients.
3. General market development, identifying potential new clients and making efforts to secure their business.
4. Perform administrative functions to complete the sales cycle (forecasting, reporting, customer database maintenance, and data entry).
5. Proactively call on accounts on targeted lists through utilization of the customer database.
6. Build on the customer database within targeted market segments via prospecting, networking, email/e-marketing, or utilizing Internet information sources.
7. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities for current and future clients.
8. Handling of basic administrative duties such as day-to-day tracking of containers and credit application facilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification: Matric (A must), Sales and Marketing Diploma preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven.
- Experience in cold calling and outbound sales representative.
- Experience in logistics, shipping containers, or related field is advantageous.
