The Dalla Lana School of Public Health is a Faculty of the University of Toronto that originated as one of the Schools of Hygiene begun by the Rockefeller Foundation in 1927. The School plays a critical role in the COVID-19 pandemic response and is now the largest public health school in Canada, with more than 850 faculty, 1,000 students, and research partnerships throughout Toronto and the world. With $76 million in research funding per year, the School contributes to improving population health and health systems through discoveries and innovation in various health areas.
Your opportunity:
The Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow's Health (CanPath) project is Canada's largest population cohort study. As the CanPath Research Administrative Assistant, you will support operations and research initiatives, assist in developing funding application packages, liaise with stakeholders, and provide administrative support to the program and the CanPath Executive Director.
Your responsibilities will include: Providing detailed information on upcoming funding and report requirements and deadlinesKeeping well-informed on funding opportunities and resourcesLiaising with agencies, collaborators, and stakeholders regarding funding applicationsConducting literature reviews and writing research summariesVerifying research funding proposals for completeness and accuracyCoordinating meeting schedules and materialsMaintaining information on digital platformsDetermining logistical details for events and programmingEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or acceptable combination of equivalent experienceMinimum two years experience in a research settingExperience drafting summaries and written correspondence from scientific sourcesExperience coordinating and administering grant application submissionsExperience coordinating meetings and eventsProficiency using Microsoft Office Applications and Adobe Suite ProductsProficiency using reference management programsExcellent communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to manage competing prioritiesAbility to work well independently and collaborativelyAssets (Nonessential): Experience working in a public health or global health research settingTo be successful in this role you will be: ArticulateApproachableOrganizedResourcefulClosing Date: 08/16/2024, 11:59PM ET
