We're seeking a dedicated Dependent Demand Buyer to join our team and play a pivotal role in procuring raw materials, printed packaging, and components essential for our manufacturing operations. If you have a passion for procurement and possess strong communication skills, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:Assist in managing inventory levels of bill of material components for third-party manufacturers and sub-suppliers, ensuring uninterrupted supply.Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and effective communication.Support the New Product Development Team by facilitating the procurement of materials for new product launches.Execute the sourcing and supplying of all production components, negotiating pricing and supply terms with suppliers.Identify and source alternative suppliers to mitigate supply chain risks without disrupting production.Conduct regular costing analysis to optimize procurement processes and drive cost efficiencies.Place orders for requirements as per the planned production schedule, including consumables and production materials.Update the ERP system with all changes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.Interpret MRP information and expedite or de-expedite orders accordingly to maintain production schedules.Required Qualifications:Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with supply chain management software.Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management or a related field is essential.Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans is required.Experience Required:Experience with an accounting system such as Pastel Evolution.Familiarity with an ERP/MRP system would be advantageous.Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Dependent Demand Buyer.Experience in the Pharmaceutical environment is beneficial.Key Skills:Strong communication skills with a focus on ethical behaviour and principles.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong negotiation skills with a knack for organization and attention to detail.Deadline-driven with a customer-centric approach.Persistent in ensuring smooth and uninterrupted supply chain operations.Join us in ensuring the continuous flow of materials critical to our pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
