Minimum requirementsGrade 12 with a Diploma or Degree in Supplychain Management5 years experience as a Buyer in the Mining industryUnderstanding of efficient materials flow and best practiceGood negotiation skillsDutiesManage and continuously review the Purchase Order System, to ensure it is accurate, up to date and consistently meets the requirements of the businessPurchase materials in line with inventory targetsTimely and effective communication of forecasts and purchase orders to suppliersContinually review the overall "value" offered by existing suppliers and ensure that the Companys purchasing remains competitiveAssist with regular re-negotiations of terms of business/service agreements and performance evaluation with suppliers, taking corrective action as requiredManagement of vendorsManagement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Effective communication with internal and external stakeholdersAny other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time
