Butcher Manager Job Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the butcher shop, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service Manage a team of butchers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain appropriate stock levels Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the butchery Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate prices and maintain good relationships Create and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues Implement and uphold food safety standards and best practices Keep abreast of industry trends and developments to stay competitive Essential Qualifications: Proven experience as a Butcher Manager or similar role Knowledge of meat cuts, preparation, and storage Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks Attention to detail and quality control Proficiency in relevant computer applications Certification in butchery or relevant field Desired Experience: Experience in meat industry or butcher shop management Track record of meeting sales targets and managing budgets Familiarity with local suppliers and market trends Knowledge of food safety regulations Experience in staff training and development Salary & Benefits: Salary: Competitive annual salary in Rand (R) Benefits: Health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, employee discount Location: Cape Town, Kuilsrivier
