Cape Union Mart is seeking an experienced Senior Process Optimization Specialist to join our IT department. Reporting directly to the Group CIO, this role is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes across the organization to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in process engineering within a retail environment and a strong track record of implementing process improvements that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify, analyze, and redesign core business processes to optimize efficiency and productivity across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current processes, identify pain points, and develop innovative solutions.
- Utilize process mapping, modeling, and simulation tools to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement process optimization strategies that align with Cape Union Mart's business goals and objectives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process changes and ensure continuous improvement.
- Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure that process improvements are supported by appropriate technology solutions.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in process management and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management, highlighting the impact of process improvements on business performance.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques in process optimization and apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in process optimization, process engineering, or business process management, preferably in a retail environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading process improvement initiatives that have delivered measurable business results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose creative solutions.
- Proficiency in process mapping and modeling tools would be advantageous (e.g., BPMN, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:- Certification in Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and their role in process optimization.
- Familiarity with change management principles and practices.
