Minimum requirements for the role:A Food Technology Diploma or a related qualification is preferred but not essential for this role.Previous sales experience having called on food manufacturing companies within the beverage, bakery, confectionary and related markets is essential for the role.The company is happy to consider any strong salesperson who is calling on manufactures for this role.The successful candidate must be a strong team player with the ability to build and foster relationships.Must be fast paced, results and sales driven with a strong sales force.Must have a good business acumen with good analytical and synthesis skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills is essential.Must be computer literate with intermediate Excel skills.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Managing a portfolio of existing key accounts as well as developing new business within the food manufacturing industry.Developing a transverse relationship with the various key customers and ensuring strategic alignment.Identifying customer needs and driving opportunities in agreement with the commercial business strategy, the market, category and portfolio.Driving inventory planning through coordinating raw materials forecasts and defining relevant stock levels by working closely with suppliers and supply chain staff.
Calling on selected and prospective customers in line with the KPIs to obtain orders and market information as well as developing business and ensuring the required service levels are maintained.Managing sales forecasts and ensuring customer receive their products timeously.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
