Business Unit Manager Ekurhuleni (East Rand)Multinational chemical manufacturer and distributor has a vacancy for a resilient BUM in the coatings and construction division. This incumbent will ensure that sales volume and profitability targets are met nationally. This includes the management of the sales team, product managers and clients. Should you have any queries, call Antoinette or Kaylin on 0861 FENRIS (336747).Responsibilities:Manage a team of Product Managers and Account Managers.Joint calling with sales team.Manage a portfolio for Coatings and Construction.Manage a portfolio of customers.Ensure healthy working platform inline with division and company objectives.Ensure materialisation of working platform.Setting a clear sales strategy for local and abroad markets.New business development.Actively looking for opportunities outside the current portfolio for possible acquisitions.Meeting tight deadlines across the business.Directing and assertively pushing the sales team to promote new products and look at new markets.Have a healthy and active relationship at key accounts.Ensure the sales team is working with CRM system.Working capital management – debtors days, no bad debts, stock holding targets are met and sales team is taking stock as per forecast.Forecasting on a monthly basis.Reporting back on monthly sales vs previous year vs budget with comments.Continuously searching for opportunities within the market.Ensure market data is relevant and updated – market intelligence.Strategically growing the portfolio of customers.Strategizing the business outlook for 3 – 5 years and ensure materialization of objectives.Growing customer base year on year in terms of volume, revenue and margins.12 month Budgeting.5-6 year forecasting.Assisting the sales team with technical briefs and new product development.Price negotiations at senior levels.Promotion of company products and image.Industry/market knowledge within all current industries responsible for.Requirements:Matric.BSc in a life science discipline will be of benefit.Minimum 6 years technical and commercial experience within the Coatings and Construction industries.Must have sound understanding of pricing structures.Minimum 5 years management role leading a team.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
