Job Description
The main purpose of this role is to direct and control the business operations. A Business Unit Head is responsible for giving strategic guidance and direction for the company to achieve its financial vision, mission and long-term goals.
Business development including research and implement new initiatives to drive revenue, lower operating costs while maintain quality products that are competitive, all while delivery excellent customer support.
Keep all relevant stakeholders informed of developments with company's objectives.
Ensure employees move in the same strategic direction to achieve its mission.
Remain close to all stakeholders including the cluster heads, employees, clients, key-decision makers and external service suppliers.
Manage resources, including the attracting, hiring and retention of talent.
Manage and report on the effective implementation of a marketing strategy to maintain market relevance and promote products and services to increase sales within area of responsibility
Manage key personnel, clients and service providers.
Oversee and develop a team of multi-skilled individuals setting clear expectations, empowering and mentoring employees, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring continuous improvement, and aligning performance with business goals and leadership values.
Participate in budgeting, align individual targets with national objectives, monitor project progress within budget and timelines, and ensure effective management of all associated budgets.
Demonstrates strong leadership, entrepreneurial mindset, and business acumen, effectively managing complexity, driving high performance, providing direction, fostering innovation and building trust
Supervisory / Management
Manages people, setting direction and deploying resources.
Responsible for performance evaluation and remuneration decisions.
Results primarily achieved through the work of others and depend on ability to influence and negotiate with parts of an organisation where formal authority is not held. Has acquired broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes, programmes etc.
Management / Supervisory
Leadership and direction through Senior Managers and Managers. Accountability for performance and results of a large, strategically important discipline in a large market. Adapts and executes functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategies. Decisions are guided by functional or major operational segment strategies and priorities

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
BS.Engineering Degree or B.Tech, Professionally qualified, and Post Grad management courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
BSc.Engineering Degree and Professionally Registered Engineer, Post Grad management courses
Experience
Function related experience: 5years
Leading teams: 10 years
Project experience: 15 years
Other experience: 15 years in Energy and Power Management industry
Established business management track-record and experience in a complex business/commercial environment.
Proven ability to develop business strategy and objectives
High degree of professional ethics and integrity
Excellent judgement and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong leadership and influencing skills up to C-Level
