IntroductionClicks is currently seeking a Business Process & Communications Officer to provide support to the Supply Chain & Logistics department in effectively managing Distribution Centre (DC) communications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that accurate and up-to-date information is accessible to all DCs in agreed formats. This position is located at the Montague Gardens DC in Cape Town.Job DescriptionDeliver updates of Logistics policies and SOP's through reviewing, editing and communicating to all DC's through electronic communication processes and within agreed timeframes.Maintain updated policies and SOP's, and training material on the intranet according to required standards and ensure DC compliance and consistency.Engage with key stakeholders in the business regarding timelines and content of policies and SOP's to ensure consistency and accuracy of processes.Attend, participate and record weekly Scorecard meetings to draft a summary report to the required standard for Head of Supply Chain and Logistics Executive.Deliver end-to-end management of all DC communications by all stakeholders that ensures effective gatekeeping of all instructions and messaging to stores.Develop, write up and standardise training material for new projects as required that meets business requirements within agreed timeframes.Ensure compliance to all SOP's aligned to regulatory frameworks within the DC space.Communicate potential compliance issues pertaining to SOP's and develop strategies to mitigate them.Job Related KnowledgeDC policies and processesKnowledge of SOP'sKnowledge of Distribution Centre communicationsIT knowledge (systems and applications)Knowledge of warehouse and compliance proceduresExperience RequirementsAt least 2 years' experience in a training design, communications, or similar environmentPolicy management and communicationWorking in a warehouse/logistics environmentEducationMatric CertificateB.com/BA/Diploma in Communications and/or other relevant qualificationJob Related SkillsComputer literacyExcellent written communication skillsCompliance and governance skillsPlanning skillsConsistencyAttention to detailPolicy reviewingRelating and networkingPersuading and influencingPresenting and communicating informationWriting and reportingApplying expertise and technologyFormulating strategies and conceptsPlanning and organisingFollowing instructions and proceduresDelivering results & meeting customer expectations
