One of South Africans largest investment, savings, insurance and banking group is looking for a highly proficient Business Intelligence Manager who is technically-savvy and a data-driven storyteller.
This work will span a wide range of data, systems, and technology, while being part of a team of talented individual contributors with a diverse set of skills across analytics, data engineering partnering together to improve how information is leveraged for analytics and decision making.
Responsibilities: Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g.
data warehousing models)Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.Validate data in databases and test solutions developed.Create specifications for the reports to be developed in order to support Business decision-making.Develop and deliver advanced statistical and mathematical models to support insightsExtensive experience in data visualization and insight communication.Developing and implementing comprehensive tools and strategies that allow raw data to be transformed into business insights.Finding opportunities to improve product offering to contribute positively to the organisation.Substantial experience working with various data mining techniques and database structures.Extensive experience in partnering with key stakeholders to understand their key business questions, and delivering analytic self-service solutions to exceed their expectationsQualifications and Experience: Bachelors in computer science or informatics or similarMicrosoft Certified Solutions Associate in Business Intelligence Development/Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert/ Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer (advantageous)Background in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modelling) and data miningIn-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
