Sanlam Financial Markets ("SFM") is the business unit in Sanlam Group that is responsible for managing shareholder credit, market, and liquidity risks, developing balance-sheet enabled products, and developing solutions to optimize Sanlam's balance sheet(s) to generate shareholder value. SFM works closely with the Balance Sheet Management function of Sanlam to assist in its pursuit of optimizing returns on the Sanlam balance sheet.
The role may be based at Alice Lane Sandton or Tygervalley Cape Town.
What will you do?Ensures that business application requirements are effectively and efficiently managed, including the definition of business process needs, consideration of alternative sources, review of technological and economic feasibility, execution of risk and cost-benefit analysis, and the design, development or purchase, implementation, and monitoring of business applications. Identifies, prioritises, specifies, and agrees business functional and technical requirements covering the full scope of all initiatives required to achieve the expected outcomes. Enables investment programme, including changes required to the nature of the enterprise's business, business processes, people skills, resources and competencies, organisation structure, and enabling technology. Adheres to testing and quality standards, applying development management technologies and methodologies such as Application Life Cycle Management (ALM) e.g. Agile, Waterfall or other pattern, practices and development frameworks. Architecture models utilised include technology architecture, data architecture, Access, Identity, security management, and change management models.
