Purpose Statement To support the vision and strategy and enhance the capability of the organisation through the development and implementation of business process architecture solutions and requirements. Primary Focus: To translate business needs emanating from projects, new ideas or system changes into business requirements for developing/buying IT systems; To provide business process architecture and requirements, at enterprise level, for various Capitec business units; To support new revenue growth initiatives; To drive continuous improvement post-implementation of projects through business unit operationalisation, in order to track achievement of business benefits to deliver on strategic/business level objectives; To develop change management plans, project plans, and designing of policies/procedures/performance measures; Accountable for implementation and the quality thereof. Qualifications (Minimum) A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering - General or Similar; Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational; Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred) A relevant post-graduate qualification in Engineering - General or Information Technology; Masters Degree in Business Administration; Experience Minimum: 5-10 years' proven experience in complex analytical Business Design, Development, Improvement initiatives and/or Product Design; Comfortable with implementation of approved business cases (i.e., able to go straight from ideation to implementation and measures thereof - i.e., process execution, involving stakeholder collaboration, to ensure that anticipated benefits are realised and for continuous improvement); Facilitating business requirements; Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies / Theory of Constraints (TOC); Engineering background; Ideal: 10 years' complex analytical Business Design, Development, Improvement initiatives and/or Product Design; Familiarity with Agile way of working; Translating company strategies and objectives into initiatives and/or projects; Initiation and implementation of: Projects with the goal to improve performance through business process improvements; Revenue growth initiatives; Continuous improvement capability; Re-engineering (transforming and evolving) processes within an operations environment; Analysing/understanding emerging technologies and trends to inform innovation and strategic business planning (defining high-level business requirements); Developing robust business cases for new initiatives, quantifying their benefits, and presenting these to senior management; Overseeing implementation of the approved business case; i.e., process execution involving stakeholder collaboration/Business Analysts to ensure that anticipated benefits are realised, and for continuous improvement; Building business cases to reflect the pros and cons of specific ideas; Knowledge Minimum: Functional skills: Business Process Modelling skills (iDEF-0, Financial Modelling, Enterprise Architect, BPMN, etc.); Process Simulation Modelling; Systems Thinking skills; Client Journey Mapping / client experience; SQL skills; Technological acumen; Developing a business case; Business Change Life Cycle and Change Management principles; System Development Life Cycle; Project Management Lifecycle and methodologies; Quality Management; Risk and Issue Management; Process frameworks (Strategy, Planning, HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Assets, Procurement, Production, Legal, and Product Development frameworks); Management Operating System best practices; Supply Chain methodologies; Incident Management and workflow methodologies; Commercial model development; Operating model development; Business architecture development; Product development framework; Transformational management principles; Willingness to travel (local) as and if required (e.g., required monthly branch visits); Ideal: Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and related disciplines; Agile way of working practices; BABOK, SOA, TOGAF, and ARCHIMATE; Skills Communications Skills; Strategic Thinking Skills; Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook); Interpersonal & Relationship management Skills; Presentation Skills; Facilitation Skills; Business Process Modelling skills (IDEF-0, Financial Modelling, Enterprise Architect, BPMN, etc.); Planning, organising and coordination skills; Commercial Thinking Skills; Analytical Skills; Problem solving skills; Conditions of Employment Clear criminal and credit record; Willingness to travel nationally and internationally when required; Ability to work extended hours during periods of project implementation; Capitec is committed to diversity and, where feasible, all appointments will support the achievement of our employment equity goals.
