A leading electrical engineering manufacturer has a vacancy for a Business Development Specialist to be based at their JHB Head Office.
The successful candidate will have the role and responsibility to drive business growth through marketing, client relationship management and pipeline management in the Electrical Infrastructure EPC space. Focus on building and sustaining client relationships. Responsible for new market development by establishing and securing of new opportunities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND CRITICAL EXPERIENCE: NDip. in Electrical Engineering, Sales or similar.Marketing, Sales or Business Development qualification would be advantageous.Minimum of five years' experience in engineering EPC environmentMinimum of 2 years' experience in marketing/sales in electrical engineering infrastructure EPC projects environment.Knowledge and experience in industry-related laws and regulationsFunctional knowledge of investment and financing.Proven ability to identify potential clients and build a significant sales pipeline, including cold calling where required.Strong communication skills both written and verbal.Honesty, integrity and personal accountability.Strong customer service orientation.Excellent analytical, organising and decision-making skills.DAILY ACTIVITIES TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Responsible for business growth through strategic market planning in the electrical infrastructure industry, which includes electrical power transmission and distribution systems and solar photovoltaic power stations (including energy storage) projects.Drive marketing strategy to achieve the company's strategic goals.Organise and formulate business and project development plans.Establish good relationships with partners in the industry, collect and screen project opportunities, and manage risks.Conduct research on the power engineering industry trends and opportunities and providing input for formulating the company's strategic goals.Responsible for public relations management with relevant entities in the government and public sector.Identify partnering opportunities in the industry to further the objectives of the company and manage partnership agreements.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external vendors.
