Purpose of the Position:Drive profitability and revenue growth within the solar portfolio by effectively utilizing the Sales Process.
This role focuses on maximizing profitability through a deep understanding of customer value, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape, aiming to achieve consistent year-over-year gross profit growth.
Principal Responsibilities:
Generate leads for new business in the solar sector through various sources, including but not limited to market research, targeted outreach and follow-ups from industry events.
Create comprehensive stakeholder maps to identify key roles and responsibilities in the sales process, ensuring targeted engagements.
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
Foster and build long-term relationships with prospective clients, key decision-makers, and influencers to establish trust and credibility.
Position the company as a trusted partner and solution provider by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of solar technology, financing options and energy savings.
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations tailored to clients' needs, clearly explaining the benefits and long-term value of the company's solar solutions.
Lead negotiations on pricing, project scope, financing, and terms with clients to close deals effectively and ensure alignment with company goals.
Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives.
Maintain detailed records of all sales activities, pipeline updates, client communications and closed deals.
Achieve minimum sales targets set per month for the region.
Execute:
Act as the primary contact to ensure the successful implementation of solar products and service offerings.
Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding any changes or updates.
Ensure that all commitments are met, and customer expectations are fulfilled.
Provide:
Ensure consistent delivery of solar product and service offerings across the portfolio.
Monitor customer satisfaction levels and follow through on commitments to resolve any issues.
Achieve full cost recovery targets through effective pricing strategies tailored to the solar market.
Engage with key stakeholders at major accounts to increase market penetration.
Manage contract expirations to maintain a balanced portfolio of solar clients.
Aim for high contract renewal rates, targeting at least 80% renewal of sales deals within 12 months.
Ensure pricing for renewed contracts meets or exceeds previous agreements.

Relevant certifications in solar technologies or business development preferred.
Proven sales track record with deep customer insights and effective negotiation skills.
